She began Strides in February and we have loved having her every second! She is there almost every day with her two boys in tow and usually beats us all there! Her friendly and outgoing demeanor have been a great addition to our village of mamas!!
1.What does motherhood mean to you?
Motherhood means everything to me! I am lucky enough to stay home with my boys and I love (almost-ha!) every minute! I never knew I could love somebody so much until I had kids. Motherhood is sacrifice-the best kind. But I wouldn't change any of it. The joy from I get watching my boys grow, learn, and play outweighs any negative there is.
2.What are you doing to reach your fitness goals?
I overhauled our diet at home and started us back on healthier meals and snacks. I've gotten my husband back to working out again, too! Its l have also been pulling the boys in the buggy behind my bicycle again almost everyday!
3.What has Fit4Mom BCS done for you?
Fit4Mom has gotten me back into a workout routine that I gave up on when I became pregnant with my first. When I had kids, I basically put myself on the back burner and Fit4Mom has given me the best opportunity to take my boys with me and I get my workout in! I have lost over 10 lbs since joining and am back into most of my old clothes! It has also taught me how to create friendships with moms. This was the first 'mom group' I have ever been a part of and its been so refreshing making new friends.
4.What is your favorite exercise?
We love taking our dog and our boys on runs/hikes/walks. We go to Lick Creek every weekend!
5.What is your proudest moment as a mom?
Watching my boys become best friends!
6.What are three of your favorite things (besides your family!)?
Entertaining people; having people over for football games, holidays, birthdays, etc.
I love to cook and bake.
We love spending time in our backyard on the weekends playing corn hole, or any yard game listening to music, letting the boys play in the sprinkler and having a drink!
7.Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us or makes you unique.
My dad is pretty big into car racing so from the time I turned 16 I would go with my brother and his friends and drag race my car. My dad has a sprint car we have both raced as well. I did it for probably 4 years and loved it! My husband will tell people when it gets brought up that I can probably drive a car better than them which, is a little embarrassing. HAHA!
8.If we asked your spouse what they think your best qualities are, what would they say?
He tells me, I'm the best cook and best mommy! He would probably say that I'm outgoing and could make friends with anybody (even though I don't think so). He would also say I'm organized and way more patient than he could ever be with the boys.
