Meet Jessica!

Jessica is the epitome of FIT4MOM. She loves to engage with her kiddos, is inclusive to all mamas in our village, shares the F4M love with so many, and always works hard in class. Read a little more about her FIT4MOM and motherhood journey below!

1.What does motherhood mean to you?

Motherhood means sleepless nights, big belly laughs, dirt on the kitchen table, stubbed toes and toothless grins. Being a mom means to be fearless, to be a positive roll model, to be a continuous cheerleader for every milestone my boys will experience, to demonstrate the abundance of unconditional love that has no end and to cherish the countless memories. I am totally overwhelmed (in the best way possible) by love, joy, responsibility and selflessness. Motherhood means everything to me and more and it's such a blessing to have the title of mom.

2.What are you doing to reach your fitness goals?

I try to stay as active as I can! Make sure I hit 10,000 steps a day! Between stroller strides and chasing my two boys around it's not too hard to hit! Now if i could get the eating part under control. I joke with my husband and I tell him I only work out so I can eat and drink what I want

3.What has Fit4Mom BCS done for you?

What hasn't Fit4Mom done for me?! Seriously though, I can't thank Lyndsee enough for introducing me to stroller strides. We are both super competitive and we push each other last our limits! Besides losing the baby weight, plus some, I've also gained confidence in myself I didn't know I had and I've gained the most wonderful friends in the 9 months since I've joined. Being able to have other mom friends that don't judge you for anything is the greatest thing! I truly have the best village! The boys have made friends too and it's so cool to see them grow up with kids their age! It gives me something to look forward to every day and Callahan even asks for strides too! Showing my boys how to live a healthy life is so important and because of F4M, I can show them that being healthy can be fun! Callahan does burpees and push ups every night and I even catch him doing wall sits while singing BINGO! I am so thankful for Fit4Mom and all it has done for me and my family!

4.What is your favorite exercise?

Squats with bicep curls! Why not work 2 body parts at once?!

5.What is your proudest moment as a mom?

All the firsts! First words, first smile, first steps.. Just knowing that they are learning everything from me truly makes me proud to be their mom.

6.What are three of your favorite things (besides your family!)?

Wine, because kids

I love the beach! Anywhere with sand, water and a drink in my hand!

Football. College, NFL, high school. Any football I'll watch! I can only hope one day one of my boys will play football.

7.Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us or makes you unique.

My family and I went to Hawaii in the summer of 2014 and I'm not sure if anyone remembers how bad hurricane season was, but there was a storm forming and we figured it would pass. The day before my husband and I were supposed to head to Dallas to meet my family for a flight the next morning we realized the storm was not moving away from Hawaii. My dad wanted to cancel the flight and I told him we should just chance it. Our connecting flight from LAX to Hawaii was canceled, not because of the storm but because no one else was brave enough to chance the storm. We ended up finally getting on our flight 7 hours later. We literally landed as the hurricane was making landfall. That was the scariest airplane ride ever. The pilot was sweating so bad, my sister was throwing up and paramedics had to come on flight because a guy a few rows up passed out. But hey, we survived Hurricane Iselle which was the strongest tropical cyclone to make landfall on the Big Island in recorded history. The rest of our trip was perfect weather and everyone should visit Hawaii, just not when a hurricane is making landfall.

8.If we asked your spouse what they think your best qualities are, what would they say?

He would probably say how organized and prepared I am for everything. I'm a huge checklist person and having a list for every thing we do. I make sure everything is ready for the next day before I go to bed and it makes the days so much easier. He used to make fun of me for it but now since we have 2 kids he sees how much easier trips are and stuff!
